Legislative Fly-In – February 2016

ALASBO members gathered for a joint legislative Fly-In with the Superintendents Association February 20-23 in Juneau.  Member teams visited legislative offices, with Talking Points and ACSA Joint Position Statements in hand.  We heard numerous presentations and participated in group discussions.  This is a year of financial crunch, but we emphasized the importance of support for K-12.  We also continued to push for less expensive ways that legislators can help us, such as worker’s compensation reform and relief from unfunded mandates.
