The Alaska Association of School Business Officials (ALASBO) was founded
in 1974 and is an affiliate of the International Association of School
Business Officials (ASBO International). Our overall mission is to promote
excellence in school business management through professional development
and recognition, research and continuing education, publications, and
representation and cooperation with other members of the educational community.
ALASBO's regular and associate members represent business professionals
and officials of public school districts in the State of Alaska, the State
Department of Education and the business community. Our annual conference
provides a unique opportunity for members from across the state to meet
for professional growth and sharing of ideas and concerns.
Regular membership is open to school business employees involved with
any aspect of school business administration. Associate membership is
open to businesses and others who are interested in school business.
ALASBO, a member of the Alaska Council of School Administrators, offers
a combined membership in ALASBO and ACSA.
